Despite being British, this is a man that has dominated the headlines in my country, almost as much as he does in the United States of America, and is a large part of the creation of The Occasional. Regardless of how you feel about whether or not he should be President of the United States, the fact of the matter is that he is President, and without someone in Congress doing something, he will remain such for the next 4 years.
However, that doesn’t mean people should simply sit back and accept his actions, this is where the popular vote comes in, not to decide who wins the presidency, but to show the president how hard they have to work in order to convince the electorate that they’re the right person for the job, and with one of the largest margins in US history, President Donald has given himself a mountain to climb.
It’s not impossible for Donald to convince the people that he’s suitable for the job, the problem is that he’s made no effort to do just that, he has continued his decisive rhetoric, giving the perception that it’s a us vs them situation, be it the West vs Islam, Cops vs Black people, Mexican vs American workers, Chinese vs American industrial potential, people vs politicians, and so on. That’s how Brexit was won, that’s how wars are won. Us vs them, if you’re not with us, you’re against us.
This is a person who will continue to dominate headlines for time to come so we will revisit President Donald again. However, we hope you think more about what you think he needs to do as President as a result of this article.
